In the laboratory "Visualization and Computer Graphics" at St. Petersburg Polytechnic University there were several projects combining AR and medicine.
The project consisted of several stages.
1. Getting a CT scan of the head.
2. Frame modeling based on a 3D model of the patient’s head.
3. Printing the frame.
The task was to see the received elements from CT in Hololens augmented reality glasses.
When viewing a CT scan, a cyst was found in the left sinus, which was visualized with augmented reality glasses.

This project is not connected with augmented reality, but I still wanted to talk about it.
The basis was an open operation to remove the appendix. The video material below shows the work of the simulator concept in real time.
It used a tactile controller and developed a nozzle with 3 additional degrees of freedom.
